Biography
Ciara is a University of Western Australia graduate, with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. She brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of sports science, exercise and health. Ciara is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology to further her knowledge in this space. With this academic background comes a large understanding of injury management and prevention, health and wellness, as well as ergonomic assessments. This equips Ciara to best provide a positive outcome for all stakeholders in her role at RTC-IM.
Combing academic knowledge with practical skill, Ciara has previous experience with managing injury with the Department of Veterans Affairs scheme (DVA). This includes biomechanical assessments, developing training programs, and managing chronic conditions. Accompanied by years of experience in a sports coaching role, has crafted her commitment to safe, collaborative, and positive injury management.
The importance of injury prevention and early intervention are at the forefront of Ciara’s values, she strives to be proactive and implement sustainable recovery strategies for those injured at work. It is important that early intervention be implemented for the best outcomes not only for the injured worker, but also the employer and all involved.
